Incoming freshmen and incoming transfers who meet all admissions and housing application deadlines will receive a Housing Contract offer. These students who complete their contracts by July 6 will secure a 2 year Housing Guarantee (six consecutive academic year quarters, beginning with Fall 2018, excluding summers). Moving off campus for any length of time other than quarter breaks, summer, or a UC San Diego sponsored exchange program voids the Housing Guarantee.
Incoming freshmen and transfer room assignments will be determined by college of registration (freshmen only), roommate requests, room preferences, answers from the Personal History Form, available space, and other factors.
Room preferences and roommate requests will be collected in mid-July.
