UC San Diego Conference Services offers a wide variety of Conference packages— choose from an array of accommodations, meeting spaces, and web registration options, perfect for any group, from sports-related to academic and everyone in between. Summer conference attendees typically reside in on-campus apartments or residence hall-style rooms.

Apartment-style residences are self-contained units with kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and combinations of two, three, or four bedrooms. Rates are available for two adults sharing one room or single rooms.

All residence hall-style rooms are arranged in suites of eight to eleven guests who share a living room and restroom facilities. Each residence hall building offers lounges and some may include kitchenettes where snacks and light meals can be prepared.

Our fantastic Custodial staff is on site daily to make sure that all common areas remain clean and sparkling. The campus is wired for high speed Internet in all units. Wireless Internet access may also be available.

Meeting Planning Packages

Hospitality and Conference Services offers a variety of web registration packages to fit the needs and budget of any conference group. Packages are available to UC San Diego Departments, Affiliates and Summer Conference Groups.

ALL packages include the following:

  • Determine the handling of discounts for speakers, session chairs and students.
  • Includes reports, i.e. registration list, special event registration list, billing reports and mailing lists.
  • Generate and provide URL to be placed on client’s meeting website.
  • Serve as single contact during the registration process. Monthly reminders to clients via email regarding registration payments and updates.
  • Centralized accounting system to collect registration fees, final billing and reconciliation. Including Credit card transactions, Deposit registration fees, Prepare refunds as needed

Meeting Planning Web Registration • Includes options listed above, PLUS:

  • $1,200 set up fee (Option available only in conjunction with Full Meeting Planning fee of $120 per person/100 person Minimum)
  • Provide Registration website to collect information and payments for meeting registration fee, special events and *housing.
    *This may or may not include a housing component. A link can be set up directly with the local hotel to manage the housing directly with attendees.
  • Develop spreadsheet to determine meeting registration fee and special event prices.
  • Monthly reminders to clients via email regarding registration payments, and updates.
  • Name badges and special event tickets through our reports.
  • Collect sponsorship monies (does not include UCSD Gift processing)

Conference ONLY Web Registration • Includes options listed above, PLUS:

  • $750.00 set up fee, plus $15 per registrant handling fee. (Minimum of 80 guests).
  • Provide Registration website to collect information and payments for meeting registration fee and special events.
  • Collect sponsorship monies (does not include UCSD Gift processing)

Housing ONLY Web Registration • Includes options listed above, PLUS:

  • $500.00 set up fee, plus $15 per registrant handling fee. (Minimum of 50 guests).
  • Provide Registration website for to collect information and payments housing accommodations.
  • Manage room selections, roommate options and housing list based on reports.

Conference attendees enjoy eating at campus Dining Services restaurants, which offer an all-you-care-to-eat experience during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Offerings range from fresh baked goods to grilled items, organic produce, and daily entrée specials. Pick up additional snacks, coffee, or retail items at Dining Services' Market locations, open throughout the summer.

Your conference can also customize the dining experience by working directly with UC San Diego Catering. Why not create a unique menu to reflect the mood and theme of your special event? Catering can prepare any assortment of fresh and regional specialties in their new state-of-the-art kitchen—including kosher, vegetarian, and health conscious menus.
