Student Employment

Conference Services, a division of UC San Diego’s department of Housing • Dining • Hospitality, conducts full-service meeting planning events, hosts conference groups and camps, and offers short-term housing to guests of the University during the summer. The season lasts approximately twelve weeks, beginning after Spring Commencement and closing with Labor Day weekend. During this time we house over 180 conference groups which vary each year and may include academic groups, computer programming, extended learning programs, family reunions, professional workshops, sport camps, weight loss camps, and more.

Conference Services is proud to offer our student employees a unique working environment with ample learning experience. Student employees may work at Conference Desk locations and/or the Conference Services office, depending on your position type and currently scheduled duties. All employees will be exposed to the fields of hospitality, conference and event planning, and office administration.
