What is Walk the Block Party?
What is Walk the Block Party?
Walk the Block is a UCSD campus-wide event designed to raise awareness about food insecurity and its prevalence, both on campus and in the San Diego community. The walk will be a 5K around the UCSD campus. Additionally, the proceeds will fund the UCSD Triton Food Pantry. This walk is based around the idea of students-helping-students, which means many student organizations will be involved in making the event possible. We welcome all in the San Diego Community to join us in the fight against hunger.
What is the Walk the Block After Party?
When you hit the end of the walk, there will be an After Party back in Warren Mall. The After Party is the entertainment portion of WTBP that follows the main event and allows participants and organizers to celebrate all of their hard work and effort in creating and supporting the event, and the Triton Food Pantry.
What is the Triton Food Pantry?
The mission of the Triton Food Pantry is to provide a discreet service to UCSD students in need of food. Our goals are to ensure that every student has enough energy to get through the day and that no student needs to give up a single meal for any reason. We aim to build a network of resources and awareness about food insecurity.
What kind of entertainment will the After Party have?
The WTBP After Party will be opened by a UCSD student performer and followed by other amazing acts! In addition, there will be a vendor fair, food, games, and more.
