Room Selection: Multi College Housing

We are offering Multi College Housing at the Warren College Apartments for the 2009-2010 academic year. The purpose of Multi College Housing is to promote diversity amongst the 6 UCSD Colleges.

Approximately 100 spaces are set aside for Multi College Housing. The number and style of apartments will vary. Groups can choose from 4 or 5 person apartments. Groups of 4 students can have up to 2 students from the same college; a group of 5 can have up to 3 students from the same college.

DETAILS

• Students interested in Multi College Housing should mark that option on their Personal History Form during the Room Selection application process.
• Emails will be sent to those students who selected the Multi College Housing option with detailed information about the next steps of the process. All emails are sent to your UCSD email account!
• Only those students who marked the Multi College Housing option will be allowed to create an Multi College Housing group. (We will not allow students to be added after the application closes!)
  • Groups must have at least 4 people and no more than 5
  • Groups must be of the same gender
  • Groups must follow the college representation criteria
• If students do not create a group, they will be re-directed back to their college of registration for general Room Selection.
• Once a group has been created, there can be no changes to that group!
• Group members will be sent an email with their access code and the randomly assigned lottery time for their Multi College Housing Group.
• On Multi College Housing Room Selection day, groups will log in and select from the available apartments.
  • Creating a group doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed an Multi College Housing space – it means you have the opportunity to select an apartment if one is available for your group size.
  • Groups that can’t select a space will be re-directed back to their college of registration for general Room Selection.
  • There is no penalty for not being able to select a space!
• If your group selects an apartment, that is your space for the 2009-10 academic year!
• A confirmation email will be sent to each group member at their UCSD email address with your assignment information.
