La Jolla del Sol is a luxurious condominium-style community owned by UC San Diego in a prime location just minutes from campus. Its one-bedroom, two-bedroom/one-bath and two-bedroom/two-bath units (click here for floor plans) feature full size washer and dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, range and dining room ceiling fan. All apartments are pre-wired for cable and feature private patios or balconies. Second and third floor apartments have wood burning fireplaces. La Jolla del Sol is a gated community and offers assigned covered parking for residents in most apartments. Apartments are assigned on an individual basis.
Residents enjoy the use of two
heated pools and adjoining spas, two lighted tennis courts and a fitness room. Doyle Community Park is just across the street, and shopping malls and grocery stores are all within walking distance. City bus and UC San Diego Shuttle service provide transportation to campus at no charge with your UC San Diego ID.

La Jolla del Sol is a UC San Diego apartment community specifically designated for faculty and staff (full-time or 100% career).
Resident(s) agrees to maintain their eligibility, as defined by the University of California, in the following Affiliated Housing Eligibility Requirements:
1. Faculty must provide:
a. UC San Diego identification card with current sticker
b. Request for Verification of Employment (available on Blink’s “At Your Service” website), Appointment Distribution Summary verifying indefinite end dates, an official department appointment letter stating begin and end dates or a post doctoral appointment study form
c. A J1 or H1 Visa status form if applicable
2. Staff must provide:
a. UC San Diego identification card with current sticker
b. Request for Verification of Employment (available on Blink’s “At Your Service” website) or Appointment Distribution Summary verifying indefinite end dates
