Big Changes to the 2015 Summer Housing Program!

We will have two housing programs for summer 2015. Residents currently living on campus during the 2014-15 academic year will be part of the special HDH acceleRATE Pilot Program designed to help students progress towards their degree more affordably. Students not currently housed on campus, visitors, incoming freshmen and incoming transfer students will participate in the Traditional Summer Housing Program.

HDH acceleRATE Pilot Program

  • Special program for current housing residents who wish to live on campus during the summer.
  • Enrollment in Summer Session course(s) is required.
  • Must apply for HDH acceleRATE Pilot Program by June 1st deadline.
  • No Dining Plan required, although there is an optional Dining Plan available.
  • Housekeeping services not included.
  • $150 housing prepayment.
  • Reduced Housing Rate: (Session schedule of rates will be posted early April):
    • Single Room - $25 a day
    • Double Room - $20 a day
    • Triple Room - $15 a day

Traditional Summer Housing Program

  • Traditional program for students not currently housed on campus, visitors, incoming freshmen and incoming transfer students who wish to live on campus during the summer.
  • Enrollment in Summer Session course(s) is required.
  • Priority deadline for 1st session is June 1st
  • Dining plan included ($10.70 per day).
  • Housekeeping services included.
  • $150 housing prepayment.
  • Housing Rate for 2015 Traditional Summer Housing Program (Session schedule of rates will be posted early April)
    • Single Room - $48.13 per day
    • Double Room - $44.65 per day
    • Triple Room - $41.26 per day

Location of Summer Housing

The location for all summer housing will be at Sixth College Apartments. Students will live at either the Sixth or Matthews Apartments. Transfer students currently living at the Village will also reside at Sixth College for the duration of their summer stay.

Summer Living

Summer residents enjoy the convenience of being near classes, a free shuttle service, near the La Jolla Shores beach, and recreational facilities such as swimming pools, tennis, and basketball courts.

Single, double, and triple occupancy rooms are available. Room preferences are taken into consideration but not guaranteed. Furnished units include kitchens with refrigerators and stoves. The bedrooms include a bed, desk, chair, closet, and bookshelf for each resident. Laundry facilities are located either within or near the apartment complexes.

***Please note: students will need to bring their own linens, blankets and pillows.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Housing Administrative Services does not provide storage facilities for students. Summer Session Students are encouraged to make necessary arrangements for any storage needs prior to their stay.
