Big Changes to the 2015 Summer Housing Program!

We will be offering two Housing programs for Summer 2015. Residents currently living on campus during the 2014-15 academic year will be offered the special HDH acceleRATE Program to help them progress towards their degree more affordably. Nonresidents, visitors, incoming freshmen and incoming transfer students will be offered the Traditional Summer Housing Program.

More information will be available by March 17, 2015.

HDH acceleRATE Pilot Program

  • Special program for current on-campus Housing residents that wish to live on campus during the summer.
  • Enrollment in Summer Session course(s) is required.
  • Must apply for summer acceleRATE housing pilot program by June 1st deadline.
  • No Dining Plan required, although there is an optional Dining Plan available.
  • Housekeeping services not included.
  • Reduced $150 housing prepayment.
  • Discounted Housing Rate (Session schedule of rates will be posted mid-March):
    • Single Room - $25 a day
    • Double Room - $20 a day
    • Triple Room - $15 a day

Traditional Summer Housing Program

  • Traditional program for nonresidents, visitors, incoming freshmen and incoming transfer students that wish to live on campus during the summer.
  • Enrollment in Summer Session course(s) is required.
  • Dining plan included.
  • Housekeeping services included.
  • Reduced $150 housing prepayment.
  • Housing Rate (COMING SOON).

Location of Summer Housing

All Summer Housing will be at Sixth College Apartments.

Summer Living

Summer residents enjoy the convenience of being near classes, a free shuttle service, near the La Jolla Shores beach, and recreational facilities such as swimming pools, tennis, and basketball courts.

Single, double, and triple occupancy rooms are available. Room preferences are taken into consideration but not guaranteed. Furnished units include kitchens with refrigerators and stoves. The bedrooms include a bed, desk, chair, closet, and bookshelf for each resident. Laundry facilities are located either within or near the apartment complexes.

***Please note students will need to bring their own linens, blankets and pillows.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Housing Administrative Services does not provide storage facilities for the Summer Session Program. Summer Session Students are encouraged to make necessary arrangements for any storage needs prior to their stay.
